Hawaii Flowers
When thinking of Hawaii flowers, the hibiscus is the one that comes to mind the most. This
beautiful, spectacular flower just begs to be grown in your garden and it can be done. To
successfully grow hibiscus, you must first know the difference between the tropical Hibiscus and
the hardy perennial Hibiscus. These are very different and require totally different growing

The difference between the two is that tropical Hibiscus have dark green glossy leaves and hold a
3 to 4 inch flower that is either single or double. It comes in many colors depending on whether
it is single or double. These colors can be yellow, red, pink, orange, salmon, or peach. Then
there is the hardy perennial that has dull colored green leaves shaped like a heart. The flowers
themselves, although they come in the same colors, are much larger than the tropical Hibiscus.
