When ordering flowers have you every considered ordering flowers of Hawaii? There are so
many advantages of using Hawaiian flowers. They are very dramatic and can really impress the
person to whom you are sending them. You can send these exotic plants and they will be
remembered for a long time to come. You can shop for many different kinds of Hawaii flowers
such as a lei, wedding leis, or haku leis. You will find all of them freshly cut and very colorful.
Tropical plants last a lot longer than the flowers we're used to getting and they can be refreshed
so easy if they start to droop. When you receive your tropical flowers make sure that you unpack
them right away. Immerse them in water with the temperature about 60 to 80 degrees, depending
on what kind they are and leave them there for about 15 minutes. Cut the stems back about an
inch and place them in a clean vase.
With plants from Hawaii, you usually have to use a heavier vase, as they are heavier and need a
lot of support. Put your plant in a place where it can get at least 6 hours of sunlight a day, but
also keep them away from any heat source, as this could make them droop and eventually die. If
proper care is taken these flowers can last as long as three weeks and in some cases longer.
If you want to grow a little bit of paradise in your own back yard, this can be done easily if you
live in a fairly warm climate. If not, you can still grow them in a container, where you can bring
them inside at night. It can be an exciting and rewarding venture for the avid gardener, but if
your climate is subject to temperatures that go down to 45 degrees F then it is not wise to try and
grow them outside. There is no need to be denied the pleasure of growing them if you have a
greenhouse.
