Flower
Flowers are the only things on earth that know no language barriers. They speak volumes
in any situation and brighten the lives of those they touch. Is there anything else you can
think of that says so much as flowers do? If you were in a third world country, or any
country for that matter, and knew no one there or couldn't speak the language, what do
you suppose would happen if you passed someone a bouquet of flowers? The language
barrier is broken and you have just met your first friend. It is no wonder flowers are loved
all over the world.
There are so many occasions for which flowers become extremely important, such as to
weddings. Can you imagine a wedding without flowers? It just would not be the same.
Although there are funerals without flowers, on a sad occasion such as this, a person that
has lost a loved one is touched many times over by the floral arrangements he/she
receives. It tells them they are not alone in their pain and that you are there for them.
Hospitals are another place that the flower brightens as soon as they enter the front door.
Have you ever noticed how people gaze at a bouquet of flowers that passes by? The
recipient feels that much better when they realize that this delivery is for him/her. It says
"I'm so sorry you're ill and I'm hoping you will be well soon".
A senior's home is another place that flowers are greatly appreciated. Most of the older
folk can't get around like they used to and may have to wait many days to get taken out
around town. It is a foregone conclusion that they miss their families and the ones they
love and only flowers can let them know how much they are missed when you can't be
there yourself.
We are very blessed with flowers, so send them every chance you get for any occasion
from the smallest to the biggest. They don't have to always be from the florist because
you can cut them from your back yard. Tie a pretty ribbon around them and pass them on
- even to the neighbor. It will probably make their day and make you feel like a million.
