Flower Guide
If you want to know how to coordinate your flowers, why not consult a flower guidebook? There
are flower guides for how to coordinate your flowers, how to start your plants and many, many
more ideas. Of all the guides that are available, only you know what you want, so be creative and
do your own thing. The most important thing about flowers is the soil you're placing them in and
that you will pretty well have to follow the golden rule on.
All too often, the soil you plant your flowers in is forgotten, but without good soil there will be
no good flowers. Every time we grow plants or flowers in our soil they take a certain amount of
nutrition from it and this has to be replaced if we want to keep on planting over the years. All
you will find in the basics of soil is weather beaten rock, minerals, decayed plant material, and
other organic materials, but all of this takes a long time to develop into the soil that flowers
thrive in. All of this can be damaged by our neglect or actions without even realizing it.
To keep our soil healthy year after year, we have to give it a little attention. Soil should contain a
balanced mixture of air, water and nutrients, and of course organic matter. There are a few things
you can do to protect this and keep it healthy. One of these things is to add organic matter on a
regular basis. You can accomplish this by adding well-seasoned manure to the soil or compost,
both of which are excellent organic matter. There are many things that this can do. It will
increase the soils capacity to hold nutrients, it makes food available for the plants for longer
periods of time, and it lessens the amount of nutrients that are lost in a yearly growth. It also
increases the water holding capacity for sandy soil, and increases the drainage of the soil, which
is key to having a good display of flowers. It also helps to release any nutrients that are already
in the ground. So as you can see, the small amount of work that you do to care for your soil gives
you back so much in return, most especially the spectacular show of flowers that we all love.
