Floral Arrangements
When we think of floral arrangements, we usually think of florist and then the enormous price
you will pay to get what you want. It doesn't have to be like this. It can be as simple as doing it
you. Let the artistic side of yourself show through and give it a try. You may be very surprised at
the end results.
To start, you need ferns of some type. These can be purchased at your florist or even at your
supermarket. Cut the ferns to the length you have in mind for your arrangement and that fits the
vase you are using making sure the length of your stems will go all the way to the bottom of your
vase. Also make sure that your stems cross at the bottom. This forms a base for your flowers. If
you want something different besides fern, then you can try trailing ivy. This brings a nice affect
to your arrangement.
You can pick up some roses at the supermarket or again at your local florist. This will create a
beautiful rose arrangement that will add beauty to your home. When selecting your flowers,
make sure you select the freshest that they have. Make sure the buds are crisp and the stems
should appear as though they were just cut.
Now you have to prepare a clean container to show off what will be a masterpiece of your own
doing. After you select your vase and put the ferns in place you can start adding your roses.
These should be placed at a 45-degree angle with six or seven roses around the lip of the vase.
After this you can add a few standing up in the center. Be sure your stems are well under the
water level. If you want a round arrangement just cut all the stems the same length. If not, then
cut some a little shorter. If you want you can add more color to your arrangement with filler
flowers, this can be one of your favorites such as Daisies or Babies Breath. This will help to fill
the empty spaces.
