Cheap Flowers

We all love a good deal and when it comes to cheap flowers it could be a very good deal depending on how many you want and what time of the year you want them for. Take for example if you are planning a wedding. You will need to order many flowers and even with a small wedding there are ways of getting cheap flowers for this.

When planning your wedding, plan it at a time when flowers are readily available. This will save you money right there because the florists are usually over stocked at this time. You need to be honest with your florist and let them know what kind of budget you are operating on. It is important to know what flowers are in season, as they will be the cheapest. For example, there are times when peonies cost a fortune and sometimes they are so cheap you could fill your house with them.

Easter is always a good time to plan your wedding. The church is already decorated with flowers and that would cut cost immensely. Valentine's Day is not a good time for a wedding as prices for flowers are at an all time high in this month. If you do have to decorate the church use inexpensive flowers on the altar. These will only be seen at a distance and mums or carnations can be used here. Don't try moving the church flowers to the reception room, as it will not be worth the effort. Flowers bruise easily and also some of the arrangements, if they are very large, will be very hard to transport. It's just not worth it.

Another alternative to save on flowers is to have your wedding outside at someplace that is green and lush and let nature provide the flowers for you. If you talk to your florist you may be able to find out if there are any other weddings taking place on the same day and if so, ask if you could coordinate the flowers and split the cost. You could save a bundle of money this way.
