Bulk Flowers
If you are on a budget for your wedding, which most average people are, why not
consider bulk flowers. These flowers can be arranged into very pretty bouquets and can
be much less than the price you would pay for a florist to do your bouquets. Talk to your
family and friends and ask if they could give you help with this project. This way you
will be sure of what you're getting, but you will need help.
First you have to find a bulk flower dealer. There a lots of them on the Internet or you can
just let your fingers do the walking through the yellow pages of your phone book, but
remember this will be the easiest part of arranging your flowers. When these flowers
arrive there is a lot of work to be done to them to get them in shape for the big day. You
will need to remove the outer petals. Then you have to keep them in water and misted
until you need them. With bulk flowers you will get them about three days before you
need them and they have to be cared for while you're waiting. Some of the flowers may
not be open and you have to be prepared to help them look their best. You will need a
place that's dark and cool for these.
Keep in mind that when your ordering your flowers in bulk, you will also need containers
to hold them both while you're waiting and of course holders for the reception tables.
You will also need floral tape, wire and an oasis. If this is not going to work for you then
maybe you should look into finding a florist that is willing to work within your budget.
Using flowers yourself will work and you and your friends could have a blast setting this
up. Getting the bouquets ready could be a girls' night out. Head for the basement where
you and your friends can kick back, relax and dig into the flowers that are waiting. Your
friends will have an idea of what you want and who knows? Maybe you'll get a few fresh
ideas that you would like to incorporate into your bouquet.
