Blue Flower
There is nothing as pretty as a blue flower in your flower garden. It looks absolutely delightful
and adds to the color of the rest of your flowers in a wonderful way. Did you know that there are
many different kinds of blue flowers to choose from, such as the Polemonuim otherwise known
as the Blue Pearl? This is a compact plant with a flower that is a deep sky blue and grows to
about ten inches in height. This plant blooms in early summer or late spring so give some
thought to where you are going to place it and that all the flowers in front of it won't be taller.
Another bluish color flower is the Blue Sea Holly. This wonderful plant has a flower of lavender
blue that is shaped like a cone with long spiked petals. The height of this flower is about 30
inches. They like full sun and blooms about mid season and are wonderful for flower
arrangements. They will add beauty inside your home as well as outside. The Delphinium,
otherwise known as the Butterfly Blue, will also add beauty outside your home when it blooms
in early to mid summer with it's bright blue flower that reaches 10 inches tall and gives a fine
display in your garden.
Either one of these will add wonderful beauty to your home inside or out. Some of them can
make beautiful inside arrangements and the ones that can't you can enjoy outside in your garden.
Either way you will be well blessed in the beauty of your flowers.
Maybe you could give some consideration to the Campanula or otherwise known as the Blue
carpet. This beauty displays bright blue to lilac flowers that will stay in bloom for weeks in the
middle of the summer. It only grows to 4 inches tall, so it would do well as a front flower in your
garden. It prefers full sun and it must have well draining soil. The Penstemon, also known as
Blue Buckle, likes well draining soil too. It has tubular shaped blooms and range from blue to
purple. This plant is at its best from mid summer to early fall and loves full or partial sun. It
grows to a height of about 15 inches.
